I called with my most recent pregnancy schedule an appointment. I received two voicemails from her nurses that my appointment had to be pushed back a week from my blood work (which took four phone calls to get a simple order), they gave me the time and date.
I was with Dr. Hood almost 11 years...but her staff became a night mare.
I love Dr. Hood. She is very professional but also laid back. She didn't rush me and took the time to talk to me about my issues. Great doctor!
On the date of my original appointment, front office called and said I missed my appointment and they had a no show fee. I told them about the voicemails from the nurses put on hold for 17 mins...and was told she would get with them and call me back to reschedule bc the nurses didn't put me on the books for the date/time they left..... i'm two months away from delivering and still haven't heard anything at all from her office.
Her staff is costing her patients, and a good name.
I love Dr.Hood. She's an amazing Dr. I've been seeing her for ten+years. She truly cares about your health.
Sacred Heart hospital was great with doing my mammogram that dr Hood ordered. It was orders bc I found a couple of lumps. It has been 3 wks and still no answers. Misty has left me a message the radiologist has wrote a contradicting message and they would call me back. If your to busy to keep up with your patients, then you shouldn’t take anymore on.
I have been using this facility for two years now after having to change my doctor due to the new Florida Blue limitations. I used Dr. Rice once but she has since moved her office too far from where I live. I was frustrated that I had to change my doctor yet again, but I was very pleased with Dr. Hood and her staff. I see a lot of reviews about her staff being rude and/or incompetent, but they have always been friendly and professional with me. I just wish they would answer the phones during office hours because I always seem to have issues getting refills on my birth control prescriptions when I'm suppose to. It seems to take a long time to get an appointment with this doctor, but I feel its due to her being the only female doctor in that facility. I know she is a busy woman, but my appointment was over in 3 minutes, (which was awesome). She was friendly and talkative with me and made me feel very comfortable. I will be using her in the future for my GYN needs!
