To heavy to have somebody walk in and act like she is above everybody else! I have worked for some great vets!!!! But these doctors make me feel blessed!
As for the way he treat some of his employees ... Well he wants the best! He is always open for suggestions! But when you out disrespect in front his clients and his staff, mind you it was not the 1st this has happened but many times over! Any boss would say something! Any preson would be lucky to have a job after the 1st time it happened! He NEVER said for her to "shut her mouth" he said zip it after walking away 3 different times of her poking at him! She was being very rude! He has worked to hard to be treated that way! He is the boss so his word is law!
I totally disagree with these reviews. While Scott Harris is an exceptional vet, his sun panics. We lost a Pomeranian in his care in it was a horrible experience. Bentley didn't have to die. Still since he was not my dog, young Harris didn't even do me the courtesy of a follow-up conversation. I have never been involved in such unprofessional, inconsiderate vet care. Graduating from Vet school doesn't make you a Vet, it gives you the opportunity to become one. Still, I blame myself as much as I blame young Harris for Bentley's death. Please understand that these comments are not directed at Scott Harris, he is great.
I can't say enough good things about this vets office and Dr. Harris. After spending thousands of dollars taking my dog to Emerald Coast and having zero answers from them, Dr. Harris gave my dog a quick diagnosis along with excellent recommendations on how to manage my dogs incurable condition. He never tries to sell us something he knows that we're not interested in and makes it clear that he cares more about the animals than he does about the money. On multiple occasions, he has reminded us that he is always available to recommend specialists if that's what we so choose, and he is honest if there is something he isn't very clear about. His honesty and excellent care has ultimately saved my dog from becoming unnecessarily ill after being mistreated and misdiagnosed by our last vet. Not only is Dr. Harris absolutely amazing, but so is his staff. On multiple occasions I have been upwards of 30 minutes early to my appointments. Instead of leaving us to sit in the lobby and wait, we are moved straight into a room and seen by the vet. His receptionists are always very friendly and quick to answer questions. The vet techs also love my dog and know him by name when he comes in. They handle him with care and not once have I seen them treat an animal like just another object. They're friendly and are also very open to answering questions as well as helping my dogs stay calm when receiving care. Not once have I had a negative experience here, and most of my year has been spent here. Their prices are very reasonable for the amount of passion and care that they give and I will never see another vet so long that I am in this area. Worth every minute and dime spent.
As for the truck thing that happened! That what you get when somebody is backing up and you try to block them in! He was being the bigger man and walking away!( Or try to drive way) I don't know what she told her husband but what he said to her wasn't out of line! But some people don't mix well together! But I wish them well and a happy healthy baby! She is a very good tech and smart. Im sure she will find a prefect fit for some where else!
Both Doctor Harris and his son Doctor Harris are great and really care about the animals they treat. Prices are reasonable and service is always wick.
Dr. Harris (and now Dr. Jason Harris) has always been a great boss to work for . He is very giving to his clients and fur babies! He understand people from all walks of life! And he will fight tooth and nail to keep your fur babies happy and healthy! Even if that means getting a second opion! Which all great doctor do! That why they say we practice medicine, we are not God.
I love coming to work everyday and making a difference in the animals and owners lives ! Both Doctors make me feel like my opion matter! They both feel like family to me! They would have to drag me out the back door kicking and screaming to get me to leave! Most people don't get to see the kindness they do for our clients that are in need! But both of the would empty out there pockets just to help someone! But you don't see that part and they don't talk about it! This is a hard job and a very busy hospital! Which the doctors work after hours and on the weekend! It's never ending for them! We (tech) get to go home at the end of the day and forget about work! The doctors NO it's never ending with them! They carry a very heavy load!
I have a difficult time understanding the negative reviews other than the fact the people get very emotional about their pets, I know I do. I have been taking my fur babies to Bluewater Bay Animal Hospital for over 15 years and I drive from FWB to so so. I am given a discount because I do drive so far, one I never asked for. The only time I have ever seen Dr. Harris upset with a client is when the owners don't seem to care about their pet. Those who do, they bend over backwards with. I love this vet!
